Thelma
Coppinger Barr, age 97, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at
BridgeView Estates in Twin Falls.
She was born in
Beersheba Springs, Tenn. on Aug. 23, 1901, to Wiley and Mabel
Brown Coppinger. In 1909, the family moved to Kimberly, where
Thelma attended school. On Feb. 21, 1922 she married James W.
Barr in Twin Falls. To this union were born a daughter Louise,
and sons Richard and Robert. The family resided in Kimberly,
Twin Falls, Hailey and Mountain Home. After retirement, Jim and
Thelma moved to Buhl to be closer to Robert and his family.
Following her husband's death, Thelma moved to Hailey to be
closer to her daughter, Louise, and her family. In 1995 , Thelma
moved to Heritage Manor in Twin Falls and then in 1997 to
BridgeView Estates. Thelma was a member of the Baptist Church in
Hailey, a very active, 50 member of the American Legion
Auxiliary, a Campfire Girl leader, past member of the Rebekah
Lodge and a member of the Irish Society of Mountain Home.
A graveside service will
be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at the Twin Falls
Cemetery under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral
Home. The family requests that, in place of flowers, memorials
be made to the Magic Valley Hospice, 200 Second Ave. N., Twin
Falls, ID 83301, or to the charity of one's choice.

Kimberly, Twin Falls, Hailey, and Mountain Home are all towns in
Idaho State.
