Simon Hadley I and Katherine Talbot
Simon Hadley I was born in Sommerset England during the year 1640 and
died in Westmeath Ireland
June 6, 1711. He was the son of Jeremiah and
Jane Hadley.

A history of THE DEEP CREEK HADLEYS by Thomas D. Hamm in the same
publication, noted that Simon Hadley was "of County Kings, Ireland,
A Quaker Landowner who married one Katherine Talbot".
Some sources say that Simon Hadley, the original ancestor of the
southern branch of the Hadley family, came to Pennsylvania from
Ballynakill, Ireland, have previous left England because of restrictions
on worship.
It has been some written that this line goes back to the Plantagenets of
England however, this may not yet have been proven. The proven lineage
starts with this Simon Hadley.
Katherine's name will be found to be spelled both with a "C"
or a "K" depending upon the source. Her birth date is found to
be 1640 - 1650. The date of her death, June 10-20, 1710. According to
information in a booklet entitled " Memoirs" by Effie Hadley
Brindle, published in 1972, Catherine was descended from William the
Conqueror and Alfred the Great.
