Below each of the Stephens-Stevens men's DNA 25 marker DYS test values have been compared with every other Stephens-Stevens participant. Each value difference is one mutation of one of the 25-markers tested.  The lesser value in each of the table cells can be interpreted as the closer the kinship of each man to the other. A greater value is indicative of distant kinship.  If one mutational change takes place every 500 years, then a difference of 9 in a table cell could relate to a change that took place 4500 years (500x9) ago. With a generation time of 30 years,4500 years ago could be 150 generations.

Comparison of the Stephens-Stevens HG2 Anglo-Saxon or Germanic-Scandanavian haplogroup (sky blue) test results with the Stephens-Stevens HG1 European Atlantic shore haplogroup (light yellow) indicates that we have two distinct groups of Stephens-Stevens ancestors represented in our test.
